A Brief History of Parker Road Baptist Church

On January 14, 1975, God laid it on the heart of six individuals to meet together with the intention of establishing a mission in the then University Country Estates/Parker Road area.  North Central Baptist Church began their sponsorship of PRBC in September of 1975. 

The late Mrs. Juanita Parker donated 3 acres of land on July 2, 1975.  The work of building the first sanctuary was begun. The first worship service in that building was held on August 15, 1976.  An additional 7 acres of land was purchased and the Fellowship Hall was completed in 1976.  Years later a larger Church auditorium was constructed and our first worship service in that new building was held on Mother's Day, 1997.  The Educational wing was added later.  After much prayer the Family Life Center was built and went into use on October 2004.   In 2009 the Church completed the remodeling and redecorating of the Administrative Offices that houses the Church office, Pastor's office, Minister of Youth, Conference rooms, etc.  Presently the office for the Minister of Music is located behind the Church Auditorium.
